For example, activate theSilent profile while at the movies or activatethe Outdoor profile while working in the yard.You can modify the following characteristics for each profile:ï Ringing options allows you to choose how the phone notifies you ofan incoming voice call. The options are Ringing, Ascending, Ringonce, Beep once and Off.ï Ringing tone allows you to change the ringing toneï Ringing volume allows you to adjust the ringing volumeï Vibrating alert activates or deactivates the vibrating alert forincoming calls or messages. The vibrating alert does not work whenthe phone is connected to a charger, desktop stand, or handsfree kit.Tip: If you receive a ringing tone via IR or as a text message, youcan save ten ringing tones at a time in the ringing tone list.ï Message alert tone allows you to set the alert tone for incomingmessagesï Keypad tones allows you to increase the volume of keypad tonesï Warning tones allows you to set the phone to sound tones, forexample, when the battery is running out of power.ï Alert for allows you to set the phone to ring only when receiving callsfrom phone numbers that belong to a selected caller group (seeìCaller groupsî on page 28.).
