Phone book (Names)You can save names and phone numbers inthe phone’s memory (internal phone book) orin the SIM card’s memory (SIM phone book).• The internal phone book can save up to500 names with numbers and textualnotes for each name. The total amount ofnames that can be saved depends on thelength of the names, numbers and textitems.• The phone supports SIM cards that cansave up to 250 names and phone numbers.Names and numbers saved in the SIMcard´s memory are indicated by .■ Selecting the phone booksettings1. Press Names and select Settings.2. Select Memory in use, and select one ofthe following options:Phone and SIM to recall names andnumbers from both phone books. Thenames and numbers will be saved in thephone’s memory.Phone to use the phone’s internal phonebook.SIM card to use the SIM card’s phonebook.3. Select Phone book view and select one ofthe following options:Name list to show three names at a time.Name and no. to show one name andphone number at a time.4. Select Memory status. Select Phone orSIM card to see how many names andphone numbers are currently saved andhow many can still be saved in theselected phone book.■ Saving names and phonenumbers (Add name)Names and numbers will be saved in thememory being used, see Selecting the phonebook settings above.1. Press Names and select Add name.2. Key in the name and press OK. See Writingtext on page 18.3. Key in the phone number, and press OK. Tokey in the numbers, see Making a call onpage 16.4. When the name and number are saved,press Done.Tip: Quick saveIn standby mode, key in the phonenumber. Press Options, and selectSave. Key in the name and press OK.Saving multiple numbers and textitems per nameYou can save up to five phone numbers andfour brief text items in the phone’s internalphone book for each name. Text items underone name can be street and e-mail addresses,a note and a web address.The first number saved under a name isautomatically set as the default number, andis indicated with . When you select aname from the phone book, for example, tomake a call, the default number is used unlessyou select another number.1. Make sure that the memory in use is eitherPhone or Phone and SIM.
