M e s s a g i n g66■ Remote mailbox (network service)When you open this folder, you can either connect to yourremote mailbox to:• retrieve new e-mail headings or messages, or• view your previously retrieved e-mail headings or messages offline.If you select New message→ Create:→ E-mail or Mailbox in theMessaging main view and you have not set up your e-mail account, youwill be prompted to do so. See ‘Settings needed for e-mail’, p. 60.When you create a new mailbox, the name you give to the mailboxautomatically replaces Mailbox in the Messaging main view. You canhave several mailboxes (max. six).The Settings wizard program included in PC Suite for this phone canhelp you configure access point and mailbox settings. You can also copyexisting settings, for example, from your computer to your phone. Seethe CD-ROM supplied in the sales package.Opening the mailboxWhen you open the mailbox, you can choose whether you want to viewthe previously retrieved e-mail messages and e-mail headings offline orconnect to the e-mail server.• When you scroll to your mailbox and press , the phone asks you ifyou want to Connect to mailbox? Select Yes to connect to yourmailbox or No to view previously retrieved e-mail messages offline.• Another way to start a connection is to select Options→ Connect.Viewing e-mail messages when onlineWhen you are online, you are continuously connected to a remotemailbox via a data call or a packet data connection.
