The same settings can also be found in the Profiles menu, on page55.To access this menu, press Menu in standby mode, and select Settings andTone settings. Select• Incoming call alert to choose how the phone notifies you of anincoming voice call. The options are Ringing, Ascending, Ring once,Beep once and Off.For example, if you select Off, the phone remains silent when youreceive a call.• Ringing tone to select the tone that rings when you receive a voicecall. If you want to select a ringing tone saved in the Gallery menu,select Open gallery from the tone list.• Ringing volume to select the volume level for the ringing tones andmessage alert tones.• Vibrating alert to set the phone to vibrate when you receive a call ormessage. The vibrating alert does not work when the phone isconnected to a charger, desktop stand or car kit.• Message alert tone to select the tone you hear when you receive amessage. To select the tone from the ringing tone list, select Ringingtone and the desired tone.• Keypad tones to select the volume for keypad tones.• Warning tones to set the phone to sound tones, for example, whenthe battery is running out of power.• Alert for to set the phone to ring only upon calls from phone numbersthat belong to a certain caller group. Scroll to the desired caller groupor All calls and press Mark. You can select several groups. After youhave made your selections, press Done and Yes.For adding a member to a caller group, see Caller groups.ADDING NEW TONES TO YOUR PHONEFor availability of tones using the text messaging (SMS), multimediamessaging (MMS) or browser service, contact your service provider. Thetones are saved in the Gallery menu.
