When you activate theOffline profile, the connection to the wireless network isturned off, as indicated by in the signal strengthindicator. All wireless phone signals to and from the deviceare prevented. If you try to send messages, they are placedin the outbox to be sent later.Tip! For information on how to change the alert tonefor the calendar or clock, see ‘Personalise your phone’,p. 12.Warning: In Offline profile you cannot make calls,except calls to certain emergency numbers, or usefeatures that require network coverage. To make calls,change the profile to activate the phone function. Ifthe device has been locked, you must enter the unlockcode before you can change the profile and make calls.Warning: Your device must be switched on to useOffline profile. Do not switch the device on whenwireless device use is prohibited or when it may causeinterference or danger.To leave the Offline profile, select another profile, andselect Options > Activate > Yes. The phone re-enableswireless transmissions (providing there is sufficient signalstrength). If a Bluetooth connection is activated beforeentering the Offline profile, it will be deactivated. ABluetooth connection is automatically reactivated afterleaving the Offline profile.
