In Messaging, you cancreate, send, receive, view, edit, and organise textmessages, multimedia messages, e-mail messages, andspecial text messages containing data. You can alsoreceive messages and data through a Bluetoothconnection, receive Web service messages, cell broadcastmessages, and send service commands.Options in the Messaging main view are Open,Create message, Connect (shown if you have definedmailbox settings)/Disconnect (shown if a connectionto the mailbox is active), SIM messages, Cellbroadcast, Service command, Settings, Help, andExit.Note: These functions can only be used if they aresupported by your network operator or serviceprovider. Only devices that offer compatiblemultimedia message, or e-mail features can receiveand display these messages. Some networks mightprovide the recipient device with a Web page link toview multimedia messages.When you open Messaging, you can see the New messagefunction and a list of folders:Inbox—Contains received messages except e-mailand cell broadcast messages. E-mail messages are stored inthe Mailbox.My folders—For organising your messages intofolders.Mailbox—In Mailbox you can connect to yourremote mailbox to retrieve your new e-mail messages orview your previously retrieved e-mail messages offline. See‘E-mail’, p. 55.Drafts—Stores draft messages that have not beensent.Sent—Stores the last 20 messages that have beensent excluding messages sent using a Bluetoothconnection. To change the number of messages to besaved, see ‘Other settings’, p. 57.Outbox—A temporary storage place for messageswaiting to be sent.Reports—You can request the network to send you adelivery report of the text messages and multimediamessages you have sent (network service). Receiving adelivery report of a multimedia message that has been sentto an e-mail address might not be possible.
