If you have saved data onthe remote Internet server, you can synchronize your phone by starting thesynchronization from your phone. You can also synchronize the data in the contactslist, calendar, and notes of your phone to correspond to the data of your compatiblePC by starting the synchronization from your PC.The contact data in your SIM card will not be synchronized.Synchronize from your phoneBefore synchronizing from your phone, you need to subscribe to a synchronizationservice and get the configuration settings from your service provider. For moreinformation on availability and the synchronization service settings, contact yourservice provider.To start the synchronization from your phone, do the following:1. Activate the connection settings you need for the synchronization.See ”Synchronization settings” on page 65.2. Select Menu > Organizer > Synchronization > Server sync > Data to besynchronized, mark the data to be synchronized, and select Done > Synchronize.The marked data of the active set will be synchronized after confirmation.Synchronization settingsYou may receive the synchronization settings for your phone as a configurationmessage from the service provider. For more information on availability and thesynchronization service settings, contact your service provider. To enter thesettings manually, see ”Configuration settings” on page 58.Select Menu > Organizer > Synchronization > Server sync > Sync settings >Configuration. Select the service provider whose settings you want to activate,and press Select. Select Account info to see the accounts provided by the serviceprovider. If more than one account is displayed, choose the one you want to use.Synchronize from your compatible PCYou must use Bluetooth, Infrared, or a data cable to connect your phone to a PCto synchronize contacts, the calendar, and the notes from your PC. To viewcompatible data cables, see ”Enhancements” on page 84. You also need the PCSuite software of your phone installed on the PC. Start the synchronization fromthe PC using PC suite.Verify that the phone is in the standby mode and that the time and date are set.
