The service providersecures the data transmissionbetween the gateway and thecontent server.Authority certificates—Used bysome services, such as bankingservices, for checking the validityof other certificates. Authoritycertificates can either be saved inthe security module by the serviceprovider, or they can bedownloaded from the network ifthe service supports the use ofauthority certificates.User certificates—Issued to usersby a Certifying Authority. Usercertificates are required [forexample, to create a digitalsignature], and they associate theuser with a specific private key ona security module.
