If the note is too long to sendas a text message, the phone asksyou to delete the appropriatenumber of characters from yournote.■ SynchronizationSynchronization allows you tosave your calendar and Contactsdata on a remote Internet server(network service) or on acompatible PC. If you have saveddata on the remote Internet server,to synchronize your phone, startthe synchronization from yourphone. To synchronize the data inthe phone contacts, calendar, andnotes to correspond with the dataof your compatible PC, start thesynchronization from the PC. Thecontact data in your SIM card isnot synchronized.Answering an incoming call duringsynchronization ends thesynchronization, and you mustrestart it.Server synchronizationBefore synchronizing from yourphone, you must do the following:• Subscribe to a synchronizationservice. For details, contactyour service provider.• Retrieve the synchronizationsettings from your serviceprovider. See ”Synchronizationsettings” p. 67.To start the synchronization fromyour phone, do the following:1. Select the configurationsettings you need for thesynchronization. See”Synchronization settings”p. 67.2. Select Menu > Organiser >Sync > Server sync > Data tobe synchronised. Mark thedata to be synchronized.3. Select Menu > Organiser >Sync > Server sync >Synchronise. The marked dataof the active set issynchronized afterconfirmation.Synchronizing for the first time orafter an interruptedsynchronization may take up to 30minutes to complete, if thecontacts or calendar are full.
