Press OK to acceptthe settings. See also “Date and time” on page 62.• MAKE A CALL1 In the standby mode, key in the phone number, including the area code.2 If you make a mistake, press the Clear key to clear numbers.3 Press the Send key, and wait for the answer.4 Press the End key to finish the call or cancel the call attempt.• STANDBY MODEIndicators are shown when the phoneis ready for use, with no characterskeyed in. In this state, the phone is inthe standby mode.The graduated bar (A) shows thesignal strength of the cellular networkat your current location. The higherthe bar, the stronger the signal. Theantenna symbol is replaced withthe GPRS symbol when the GPRSconnection has been set to Whenavailable and a connection isavailable in the network or in thecurrent cell. See "GPRS" on page 61.The area to the right of the signal bar (B) shows an analog or a digital clock.See "Date and time" on page 62.The area above the date (C) indicates in which cellular network the phone iscurrently being used.The graduated bar (D) shows the battery charge level. The higher the bar, the morecharge left in the battery.The navigation bar (E) shows the currently active profile.
