Call functions184. Call functionsVoice diallingYou can make a phone call simply bysaying a voice tag that has been addedto a number in the phone book. Nametags may be added to up to 15 of thenumbers stored in your phone book. Any spoken word (or words)such as the name of a person can be used as a voice tag to voicedial a call.Before using voice dialling, note that:p Voice tags are not language dependent. They are dependenton the speaker's voice.p Voice tags are sensitive to background noise. Record themand make calls in a quiet environment.p When recording a voice tag or making a call by saying avoice tag, speak clearly into the microphone.p Very short names are not accepted. Use long names andavoid similar names for different numbers.x You must say the name exactly as you said it when yourecorded it. This may be difficult in, for example, a noisyenvironment or during an emergency, so you should not relysolely upon voice dialling in all circumstances.x Before you can use this feature you will have to record voicetags for numbers stored in the car phone’s phone book. Todo so, you will have to speak a voice tag and add it to therelated number in the phone book. For further information,see Voice Tags on page 37.a To voice dial a number, press to access the voice display.A tone will sound and the message Speak now will appearon the display.a Say the voice tag belonging to the desired number loudlyand clearly.To indicate that it has recognised the voice tag, your carphone will play back the voice tag as recorded and thenautomatically dial the number assigned to it 1.5 secondslater.Dialling from the phone book(name search)You can call a number simply byselecting a name from the phone book:a In the standby display, scroll with to the desired letterof the alphabet in the phone book and press to openthe list of names beginning with this letter.a Scroll with to the desired name and press to dialthe number stored with the name.
