G e t s t a r t e d11Install the UIM cardThe user identity module (UIM) card can be easily damaged byscratching or bending, so be careful when handling, inserting, orremoving it. The UIM card slot is located under the battery. Keep theUIM card out of the reach of small children.1. Slide forward the card holder and lift it from the holder.2. Hold the bevelled corner of theUIM card facing up and alignedwith the bevelled corner of thecard holder.3. Insert the UIM card into theholder with the gold-colouredcontacts facing down, matchingup with the gold-colouredcontacts on the device.4. Slide back the card holder andlock it into place.Replace the battery and back cover1. Insert the battery, gold-colouredcontact end first, into the batteryslot.2.
