17[ 118 ]• USE THE ALARM CLOCKThe alarm clock feature is based on yourphone’s internal clock and sounds an alertat a time you specify. The alarm clockworks even if you turn your phone off.Set the alarm clockSee “Set up the clock” on page 77 for moreinformation about time formats.1 Press Menu 4 1 (Settings > Alarm clock).2 Enter the alarm time in hhmm format.3 Press OK.4 Select either am or pm and press Select.Note: Step 4 is necessary only if you have selected a 12-hourformat.Manage the alarmPHONE ON• Press Stop to shut off the alarm. OR• Press Snooze.The alarm stops and sounds again in 10 minutes.Note: If you let the alarm sound for 1 minute without pressing akey, it stops for 10 minutes, and then sounds again.PHONE OFFIf the alarm time is reached while the phone is switched off, the phoneswitches itself on and starts sounding the alarm tone. If you press Stop,the phone asks whether you want to activate the phone for calls. Press Noto switch off the phone or Yes to make and receive calls.Warning: Do not press Yes when wireless phone use is prohibitedor when it may cause interference or danger.
