Forinformation about data transmissioncharges, contact your network serviceprovider.Tips on creating a GPS connectionInitially your device must receive signalsfrom at least four satellites to be able tocalculate the coordinates of your location.When the initial calculation has beenmade, it may be possible to continuecalculating your location with threesatellites. However, the accuracy isgenerally better when more satellites arefound.Establishing a GPS connection may takefrom a couple of seconds to severalminutes. Establishing a GPS connection ina vehicle may take longer.If no satellite signal can be found, considerthe following:• If you are indoors, go outdoors toreceive a better signal.• If you are outdoors, move to a moreopen space.• If the weather conditions are bad, thesignal strength may be affected.• Some vehicles have tinted (athermic)windows, which may block thesatellite signals.Ensure you do not cover the antenna withyour hand.Positioning (GPS) 13© 2009 Nokia.
