About assisted GPS (A-GPS)Your device supports A-GPS (networkservice). When you activate A-GPS, yourdevice receives useful satelliteinformation from an assistance dataserver over the cellular network. With thehelp of assisted data, your device canobtain the GPS position faster.Assisted GPS (A-GPS) is used to retrieveassistance data over a packet dataconnection, which assists in calculatingthe coordinates of your current locationwhen your device is receiving signals fromsatellites.Your device is preconfigured to use theNokia A-GPS service, if no service provider-specific A-GPS settings are available. The longer the bar, the strongerthe satellite signal. When your device hasreceived enough data from the satellitesignal to calculate your location, the barcolour changes.Initially your device must receive signalsfrom at least four satellites to be able tocalculate your location.
