Tip: To ensure that you have adequatememory, you should regularly delete ortransfer data to a memory card or PC.Memory cardKeep all memory cards out of the reach of smallchildren.Your Nokia device supports the FAT16 and FAT32 filesystems for memory cards. If you use a memory cardfrom another device or if you want to ensurecompatibility of the memory card with your Nokiadevice, you may need to format the memory card withyour Nokia device. However, all data in the memory cardis permanently deleted if you format the memory card.It is recommended to back up device memory regularlyto the memory card. The information can be restoredto your device later. To back up information from devicememory to a memory card, select Menu > Tools >Memory card > Options > Backup phone mem. Torestore information from the memory card to thedevice memory, select Menu > Tools > Memory card >Tip: You can install and remove a memory cardwithout removing the battery or powering offthe device.MicroSDUse only microSD cards approved by Nokia for use withthis device. Nokia utilizes the approved industrystandards for memory cards but not all other brandsmay function correctly or be fully compatible with thisdevice.This device uses a microSD memory card.To ensure interoperability, use onlycompatible microSD cards with this device.Check the compatibility of a microSD card with itsmanufacturer or provider. Other memory cards thanmicroSD cards are not compatible with this device.Using an incompatible memory card may damage thememory card as well as the device, and data stored onthe incompatible card may be corrupted.
