Set up an access point for WLANmanually1. Select Menu > Tools > Settings > Connection >Access points.2. Select Options > New access point to create a newaccess point, or select an existing access point from thelist and then Options > Duplicate access point to usethe access point as a basis for the new one.3. Define the following settings.• Connection name — Enter a descriptive name for theconnection.• Data bearer — Select Wireless LAN.• WLAN network name — To enter the service setidentifier (SSID), that is, the name that identifies thespecific WLAN, select Enter manually. To select thenetwork from the WLANs in range, select Search fornetworks.• Network status — Select Hidden if the network youare connecting to is hidden or Public if it is not hidden.• WLAN network mode — If you selectInfrastructure, devices can communicate with eachother and with wired LAN devices through a WLANaccess point. If you select Ad-hoc, devices can send andreceive data directly with each other, and no WLANaccess point is needed.• WLAN security mode — You must select the samesecurity mode that is used in the WLAN access point. Ifyou select WEP (wired equivalent privacy), 802.1x, orWPA/WPA2 (Wi-Fi protected access), you must alsoconfigure the relevant additional settings.• WLAN security settings — Edit the security settingsfor the selected security mode.• Homepage — Enter the web address of the page youwant to display as the home page when you use thisaccess point.To set up a WLAN access point automatically, use the WLANwizard. Select Menu > Connectivity > WLAN wiz..Connect PC to webYou can use your device to connect your PC to the web.1. Connect the data cable to the USB connectors of yourdevice and your PC.2. Select Connect PC to web. The necessary software isautomatically installed from your device to the PC.3. Accept the installation in your PC. If asked, accept also theconnection. When the connection to the web isestablished, the web browser of your PC opens.You must have administrator rights to your PC, and theautorun option enabled in the PC.
