However, you must provide avalue for all settings marked by an asterisk (*) in this userguide.Connection settingsIn the Connection tab, you must specify at least the nameof the Microsoft Exchange server your account uses andthe Internet access point.The Connection settings are:• Exchange server*. The Exchange server with whichyour mobile device connects. For the name of yourExchange server, contact your system administrator oremail account provider.• Secure connection. Note that this setting must matchthe SSL setting for the server.• Access point*. Enter the Internet access point yourmobile device will use to connect with the MicrosoftExchange server. You must select an access point. Forinformation about your access point, contact yourwireless carrier.• Sync while roaming. Synchronization while roamingmay be more expensive than synchronization at othertimes. You can control the synchronization schedulewhile you are roaming by selecting one of thefollowing:• No. Synchronization does not occur while roaming,unless you use steps to manually synchronize.• Yes, on peak only. Synchronization occurs onlyduring the peak hours you have defined in the off-peak hours while roaming.• Yes, always. This is the default. Automaticsynchronization occurs according to thesynchronization schedule even while roaming.• Use default port. Use the server default connectionport. If you select No, then you must specify a port inthe port number field that appears. To obtain the portsettings, contact your system administrator or emailaccount provider.
