Sending options for multimediamessagesSelect New message > Multimedia message >Options > Sending options and from the followingoptions:• Receive report — Select Yes if you want to receive anotification when the message has been successfullydelivered to the recipient. Receiving a delivery report of amultimedia message that has been sent to an e-mailaddress may not be possible.• Message validity — Select how long the messagingcentre tries to send the message. If the recipient of amessage cannot be reached within the validity period, themessage is removed from the multimedia messagingcentre. The network must support this feature. Maximumtime is the maximum amount of time allowed by thenetwork.• Priority — Set the sending priority to High, Normal, orLow.Instant messagingSelect Menu > Communic. > IM.Instant messaging (IM) (network service) allows you toconverse with other people using instant messages and joindiscussion forums (IM groups) with specific topics. Variousservice providers maintain IM servers that you can log in toafter you register to an IM service. Service providers maydiffer in their support of features.If IM is not available from your service provider, it may notappear in the menu of your device. Contact your serviceprovider for more information about signing up for IMservices and costs of services. For more information on IMsettings, contact your service provider.You may receive the settings in a special text message fromthe service provider that offers the IM service. If not, enterthe settings manually.Other instant messaging solutions, such as WindowsLive andYahoo, may be available in Download.Define IM settingsTo define the IM application settings, select Options >Settings > Preferences. You can, for example, set yourscreen name and IM alert tones.To converse with an IM user or users, and to view and edityour IM contacts, you must log into an instant messagingserver. To add an IM server, select Options > Settings >Servers. For the correct settings, contact your serviceprovider. To set the server as the one to which your deviceautomatically logs in, select Options > Settings > Defaultserver.To define how your device connects to the IM server, selectOptions > Settings > IM login type. To establish aconnection between your device and the default serverautomatically, select Automatic. To automate theconnection only when in your home network, select Auto inhome netw.
