GB 20Motor antenna configurationIf you have an antenna motor to control your satellite antenna youmust configure the following settings.• From the “Antenna/Satellite selection” menu select option 3“Motor Antenna Configuration” and press select.Type of motor• Select SATSCAN (ASTRA) if you have a Nokia SatScan motor.• Select DiSEqC (Hotbird) if the motor that you have is control-led by DiSEqC commands.LNB type• Select the correct LNB type for your configuration, e.g. “Uni-versal”.LNB offset voltageIf the cable from the antenna is very long, the voltage to the LNBcould be too low to change the polarisation. You can increase thevoltage to the LNB by 0.5 V.Predefined ASTRA-/HOTBIRD-channel• Select one of the predefined channels and adjust the antennauntil a TV picture from the predefined channel is visible on thescreen.Adjusting the motor for ASTRA/HOTBIRDTo continue the installation you now have to determine theangle to ASTRA or HOTBIRD. The motor and the antennamust be adjusted towards the ASTRA 1 satellites on 19.2°East for SatScan motors or towards HOTBIRD satellites on13° East for DiSEqC motors as these are the reference sat-ellites.All other preprogrammed satellite positions are orientedrelative to these settings. You also have to mount the antenna at a proper place. How to do all this, please read the separate fitting instruc-tions for the SatScan or DiSEqC positioner.East and West limit set-upNote! You only have to set one or both of these limits if the an-tenna is prevented from reaching its East/West limit positions. This could be the case, for example, if the antenna is mounted tooclose to a wall or in any similar situation. To set these limits, adjust the antenna using the cursor left/cur-sor right button.• Firstly, move the antenna to the east limit.• Then move the antenna to the west limit.• Press select to confirm all settings and carry out the channelsearch procedure.First time installation
