To remove a mailbox and its messages from your device,select Mailboxes, scroll to the desired mailbox, and selectOptions > Delete.To create a new mailbox, select Mailboxes > Options >New mailbox. The name you give to the new mailboxreplaces Mailbox in the Messaging main view. You canhave up to six mailboxes.Select Mailboxes and a mailbox to change the connectionsettings, user settings, retrieval settings, and automaticretrieval settings.Connection settingsSelect Menu > Messaging and Options > Settings >E-mail > Mailboxes, a mailbox, and Connectionsettings.To edit the settings for the e-mail you receive, selectIncoming e-mail, and from the following:● User name — Enter your user name given to you byyour service provider.● Password — Enter your password. If you leave thisfield blank, you are prompted for the password whenyou try to connect to your remote mailbox.● Incoming mail server — Enter the IP address or hostname of the mail server that receives your e-mail.● Access point in use — Select an internet access point(IAP).● Mailbox name — Enter a name for the mailbox.● Mailbox type — Defines the e-mail protocol that yourremote mailbox service provider recommends. Theoptions are POP3 and IMAP4. This setting cannot bechanged.● Security — Select the security option used to securethe connection to the remote mailbox.● Port — Define a port for the connection.● APOP secure login (for POP3 only) — Use with thePOP3 protocol to encrypt the sending of passwords tothe remote e-mail server while connecting to themailbox.To edit the settings for the e-mail you send, selectOutgoing e-mail and from the following:● My e-mail address — Enter the e-mail address givento you by your service provider.● Outgoing mail server — Enter the IP address or hostname of the mail server that sends your e-mail. Youmay only be able to use the outgoing server of yourservice provider.
