Nokiamay make additional battery models available for thisdevice. This device is intended for use when suppliedwith power from the following chargers: AC-10. Theexact charger model number may vary depending onthe type of plug. The plug variant is identified by oneof the following: E, EB, X, AR, U, A, C, K, or UB.The battery can be charged and discharged hundredsof times, but it will eventually wear out. When the talkand standby times are noticeably shorter than normal,replace the battery. Use only Nokia approved batteries,and recharge your battery only with Nokia approvedchargers designated for this device.If a battery is being used for the first time or if thebattery has not been used for a prolonged period, itmay be necessary to connect the charger, thendisconnect and reconnect it to begin charging thebattery. If the battery is completely discharged, it maytake several minutes before the charging indicatorappears on the display or before any calls can be made.Safe removal. Always switch the device off anddisconnect the charger before removing the battery.Proper charging. Unplug the charger from the electricalplug and the device when not in use. Do not leave afully charged battery connected to a charger, sinceovercharging may shorten its lifetime. If left unused, afully charged battery will lose its charge over time.Avoid extreme temperatures. Always try to keep thebattery between 59°F and 77°F (15°C and 25°C).Extreme temperatures reduce the capacity and lifetimeof the battery. A device with a hot or cold battery maynot work temporarily. Battery performance isparticularly limited in temperatures well belowfreezing.Do not short-circuit. Accidental short-circuiting canoccur when a metallic object such as a coin, clip, or pencauses direct connection of the positive (+) andnegative (-) terminals of the battery. (These look likemetal strips on the battery.) This might happen, forexample, when you carry a spare battery in your pocketor purse. Short-circuiting the terminals may damagethe battery or the connecting object.Disposal. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire as theymay explode. Dispose of batteries according to localregulations.
