Setup settings—adjust colour andlightingTo enable the camera to reproduce colours andlighting more accurately or to add effects to yourpictures or videos, scroll through the active toolbar,and select from the following options:● Flash mode ( ) (images only) — Select the desiredflash mode.● Colour tone ( ) — Select a colour effect from thelist.● White balance ( ) — Select the current lightingcondition from the list. This allows the camera toreproduce colours more accurately.● Exposure compensation ( ) (images only) — Ifyou are shooting a dark subject against a very lightbackground, such as snow, adjust the exposure to+1 or +2 to compensate the background brightness.For light subjects against a dark background, use -1or -2.● Sharpness ( ) (images only) — Adjust thesharpness of the image.● Contrast ( ) (images only) — Adjust the differencebetween the lightest and darkest parts of theimage.● Light sensitivity ( ) (images only) — Increase thelight sensitivity in low light conditions to decreasethe risk of images that are too dark.The screen display changes to match any settings youmake so that you see how the change affects thepictures or videos.The available settings vary depending on the selectedcamera.The setup settings are camera specific; if you changethe settings in the secondary camera, the settings inthe main camera do not change. The setup settings arealso shooting mode specific; if you change the settingsin the image mode, the settings in the video mode donot change. Switching between the modes does notreset the defined setup settings.The setup settings return to the default settings whenyou close the camera.If you select a new scene, the colour and lightingsettings are replaced by the selected scene.
