124.3 W ING SENSOR I NSTALLATION1. Assemble the Breakaway SensorMounting Brackets (B11) as show inFigure 4 and Figure 5.Figure 4 – Breakaway Sensor BracketExploded ViewFigure 5 – Breakaway Sensor MountingBracket AssemblyTo assemble the breakaway sensorbracket:a) Assemble the bolt and nut into thecollar.b) Grease the bottom edge of the collarand the angled tube of the base.c) Place the collar onto the angled tubeof the mounting base.d) Install the spring between the collarand the upper ring of the base.e) Insert tube through assembly andtighten the collar2. Mount the sensor bracket onto the boom.If possible, mount the sensorbrackets while the booms are intheir folded position to ensure thatthey will not interfere withanything when the boom is foldedfor transport.3. The sensor mounting brackets can beinstalled with the mounting base behind(Figure 8) or in front of the tube (Figure6).It is advised to avoid mounting thesensor bracket to a breakawayportion of the boom because abreakaway action can cause theUC4+ Spray Height Controlsystem to force a boom close to theground.Please refer to the UC4+ Spray HeightControl system warranty at the end ofthe UC4+ Spray Height ControlOperator’s Manual (M01) forimplications.4. Mount the NORAC UC4+ ultrasonicsensor (E02) into the sensor brackets.The sensors should be oriented forward(ahead) of the boom (see Figure 6 andFigure 8).When installing the UC4+ sensors(E02), start with the smallest serialnumber on the left hand sideproceeding to the largest serialnumber on the right hand side(Figure 9).
