378 TROUBLESHOOTING• This section discusses common symptoms and suggested solutions whenthe UC4+ control system is being installed or operated.8.1 G ENERAL O PERATION8.1.1• LCD screen does not light up• System resets itself when a boom valve is turned onPossible Cause(s) Suggested Solution(s)a) Inadequate powersupplyNOTE:If your system is operating below+12 volts, this may cause aproblem. If you have a lowvoltage problem, it could be dueto the sprayer’s electrical system(e.g. faulty alternator, battery, orpoor ground connection).a-1) Ensure the UC4+ power cable isconnected to the UC4+ control panel.a-2) Ensure the UC4+ power cable isconnected to the sprayer’s power supplyproperly.a-3) Ensure the sprayer’s power supplyvoltage is high enough (more than +12V).Measure the supply voltage when thevalve is being used, since the valve actionmay cause a voltage drop.b) Defective power cable b) Follow a-1) to a-3). Wiggle cables/wiresaround. If the symptom continues, thecable may need repairing.c) Damaged LCD screen c) Follow a) and b).
