16HOW TO PLUG IN THE POWER CORDThis product must be grounded. If it should mal-function or break down, grounding provides a path ofleast resistance for electric current to reduce the riskof electric shock. This product’s power cord has anequipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug.Plug the power cord into an appropriate outlet thatis properly installed and grounded in accordancewith all local codes and ordinances. This product isfor use on a nominal 120-volt circuit. IMPORTANT:The elliptical is not compatible with GFCI-equippedoutlets and may not be compatible with AFCI-equipped outlets.A temporary adapter may be used to connect thepower cordto a 2-polereceptacle asshown at theright if a prop-erly groundedoutlet is notavailable.The tempo-rary adaptershould beused only untila properly grounded outlet can be installed by a quali-fied electrician.The green-colored rigid ear, lug, or the like extendingfrom the adapter must be connected to a permanentground such as a properly grounded outlet box cover.Whenever the adapter is used, it must be held in placeby a metal screw. Some 2-pole receptacle outlet boxcovers are not grounded. Contact a qualified electricianto determine if the outlet box cover is grounded beforeusing an adapter.HOW TO MOVE THE ELLIPTICALDue to the size and weight of the elliptical, movingit requires two persons. Stand in front of the elliptical,hold the upright, and place one foot against one of thefront wheels. Pull on the upright and have a secondperson lift the handle on the ramp until the elliptical willroll on the front wheels.
