EN - 71.2 Installation warningsBefore using your fridge freezer for the firsttime, please pay attention to the followingpoints:• The operating voltage for your fridgefreezer is 220-240 V at 50Hz.• The plug must be accessible afterinstallation.• Your fridge freezer may have an odourwhen it is operated for the first time. Thisis normal and the odour will fade whenyour fridge freezer starts to cool.• Before connecting your fridge freezer,ensure that the information on the dataplate (voltage and connected load)matches that of the mains electricitysupply. If in doubt, consult a qualifiedelectrician.• Insert the plug into a socket with anefficient ground connection. If the sockethas no ground contact or the plug doesnot match, we recommend you consult aqualified electrician for assistance.• The appliance must be connectedwith a properly installed fused socket.The power supply (AC) and voltage atthe operating point must match withthe details on the name plate of theappliance (the name plate is located onthe inside left of the appliance).• We do not accept responsibility for anydamages that occur due to ungroundedusage.• Place your fridge freezer where it will notbe exposed to direct sunlight.• Your fridge freezer must never be usedoutdoors or exposed to rain.• Your appliance must be at least 50 cmaway from stoves, gas ovens and heatercores, and at least 5 cm away fromelectrical ovens.• If your fridge freezer is placed next to adeep freezer, there must be at least 2cm between them to prevent humidityforming on the outer surface.• Do not cover the body or top of fridgefreezer with lace. This will affect theperformance of your fridge freezer.• Clearance of at least 150 mm is requiredat the top of your appliance. Do not placeanything on top of your appliance.• Do not place heavy items on theappliance.• Clean the appliance thoroughly beforeuse (see Cleaning and Maintenance).• Before using your fridge freezer, wipe allparts with a solution of warm water anda teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate. Then,rinse with clean water and dry. Return allparts to the fridge freezer after cleaning.• Use the adjustable front legs to makesure your appliance is level and stable.You can adjust the legs by turning themin either direction. This must be donebefore placing food in the appliance.If your refrigerator includes a fancondenser- The bottom cabinet cover is theplasticThe condenser of your fridge is locatedat the bottom of the cabinet. As a result,the fittings which control the distancebetween the refrigerator and the wallbehind your fridge are located on thecover of the bottom of the cabinet.
