Follow thesafety instructions in this document and allother related documentation.IntroductionTypes of Color ChangesThere are two basic types of color changes:Color ChangeTypeDefinitionSimilar Shade When changing from either a light powder to anotherlight powder, or a dark powder to anotherdark powderDifferent Shade When changing from either a light powder to a darkpowder, or a dark powder to a lightpowderThe color change process varies slightly dependingon which type of color change you are performing.The time it takes to perform a different shade colorchange will depend on how many spray guns are inyour system.Conditions for an Effective Color ChangeIn order for the color change process to be effective,the following conditions must be met: Keep spare sieve screens, Sure Max reclaimreceiver filters, and powder supply containers onhand to allow quick replacement during colorchange and thorough cleaning while the system iscoating parts. Operate the system in spray-to-reclaim modeduring normal operation. Keep the area around the booth clean to avoidcross-contamination of powder. Condition the booth interior at least once eachweek.
