Ensure x-bafflesare fully inserted into each burner tube.There is a tab at one end to prevent overinsertion.Caution The appliance must notbe be operated with some or all ofthe x-baffles removed.3. The heat exchanger should remain cleanunless a problem has developed due topoor combustion.Examine the heat exchanger tubes internallyand externally for any sign of deterioration.The outside of the tubular heat exchangercan be cleaned from the front of the heaterwith an air jet and/or a flexible brush.Remove any dust and grease deposits.The inner surfaces of the heat exchangercan be reached for cleaning with the burnerand combustion air fan (venter) assembliesremoved, (see figures 11 & 12 and section7). Clean with a flue brush or a heavy wireto which wire wool has been attached.Brush inside each heat exchanger tube untilall foreign material has been removed. Theuse of a flashlight is necessary to carry outhis operation.4. Remove any dirt and/or grease that mayhave accumulated on the venter fan motorand its housing.Note: Venter fan motors are lubricatedfor life and do not require greasing.5. The gas multi-functional control valverequires no field maintenance exceptcleaning of it’s exterior and checkingthe condition of the wire connections.Instructions for testing pressure are given insection 5.5.6. Check the flue/combustion air system forsoundness. Reseal/ replace any parts thatare not sound.7. Check all wiring connections. Checkwiring for any signs of damage. Replaceany suspect wiring with an equivalentspecification.8. Check operation of thermal fan controland control relay9. When servicing is complete carry out fullcommissioning procedure as per the section5 of this document.7. Removal & Replacementof PartsRHC 8000 air heaters mustonly be fitted with authorizedreplacement parts. These heatersmust use certificated spare partsto comply with legislation.7.1 Main Burner Removal7.1.1 Instructions for BurnerRemoval1. Turn off the gas supply to the air heater2. Switch off the electricity supply to the airheater3. Open the access door4. Disconnect the union in the gas supplyoutside of the appliance5. Remove gas supply pipe frommultifunctional gas control valve.6. Disconnect flame sensor wire from flamesensor and the high tension ignition wirefrom the burner relays.7. Disconnect the silicon tube from thestatic tapping point on the burner boxcover.CAUTION
