IntroductionIsolate any electrical supply to the heaterand controller before proceeding.1.1 Basic InformationThe instructions in this manual apply to theRHC8000(M) DJL gas-fired/ fan-assistedwarm air heaters: installed at an operationalambient temperature between -15°C and+45°C.The appliances must be installed inaccordance with the rules in force. Beforeinstallation, check that the local distributionconditions,nature of gas and pressure andadjustment of the appliance are compatible.A permanent electricity supply of 230volts,50Hz,single phase is required.• Gas categoriesI2H,I2E,I2E(S),I2E(R), I2Esi,and I2EK• RHC 8000(M) DJL model suitable forindoor air handlers only(when installedwhere the height above floor level isgreater than 1,8 meters measured to theunderside of the appliance they may beused as a garage air heater).Model RHC 8000(M) DJL heaters areapproved for:Type B 22/B52 – vertical vent (through theroof) or horizontal vent (through the wall)All models & sizes are available for use withnatural, gas with operating temperaturesbetween 15°C and 40°C.These instructions are only valid forappliances designed to operate in Europe.If the country code and gas category onthe appliance data label does not matchthe country of installation or the countrycodes and gas category’s as shown in thisinstruction manual, it will be necessary tocontact the distributor or manufacturerto provide the necessary informationfor the modification of the appliance tothe conditions of use for the country ofinstallation.Check that the local distribution conditionsof electricity supply, type of gas andpressure of the appliance are compatible.The total installation should be installed inaccordance with the rules in force, relevantNational Standards, local regulations,andCodes of Practice.When the external control calls for heat,an electronic control begins the ignitionsequence to provide for a safe start.Under normal conditions the fan motor runsconstantly and after a call forheat it switches the heater on through aCAUTIONWARNING
