Configuration options 61Carrier Remote IPEThe Carrier Remote IPE provides functionality by installing only IPEmodules and IPE cards at a distant site. The Remote IPE shares thesystem’s Common and Network Equipment to provide the same functionsand features to remote subscribers that are available to local systemsubscribers.A floor-standing column or a wall-mounted cabinet Carrier Remote IPEis installed at the remote site and is connected to the Meridian 1 LargeSystem using T1 or E1 connection.
