Enabling the browser-based interface 39To enable the BBI, perform the following procedure:Procedure stepsStep Action1 Establish a console connection or Telnet session with the device.2 Log into the switch with an administrative user name and password.3 From the main Command Line Interface (CLI) prompt, enterthe Administrative Applications menu with the /cfg/sys/admcommand.>> Main# /cfg/sys/adm4 From the Administrative Applications menu prompt, use the httpcommand to enter HTTP access menu.>> Administrative Applications# http5 From the HTTP access menu, designate a port for HTTP accessusing the port command.>> HTTP# port Using a port other than 80 requires the user to designate the portwhen accessing the BBI. For example, if the device IP address is192.168.0.3 and the designated port is 8080, the device is accessedfrom the browser as: http://192.168.0.3:8080.6 From the HTTP access menu, enable BBI access using the enacommand.>> HTTP# ena7 Finalize the changes using the apply command.>> HTTP# applySteps 8 through 11 provide instruction on enabling HTTPS access tothe BBI.
