This is a circular queue of 29 entries.Each time a connection or disconnection event occurs, a log entry iswritten. The entries contain a date and time, and a description of theconnection or disconnection event.The following section describes connection and disconnection events.Table 9: Hardware ID screenSelection DescriptionHardware ID This box contains the MAC address for the Ethernethardware installed in your device. MVC 2050 uses theMAC address of the Ethernet hardware as itsHardware ID. You can change this value if there ismore than one MAC address, or if the device is usingan Extranet client that hides the true MAC address.For example, the Nortel Contivity Extranet Switchuses a single MAC address for all clients. This cancause connection problems with your communicationserver.Auto-Create This changes the MAC address that appears in theHardware ID box. If your device has more than oneMAC address, press the Auto-Create button to cyclethrough the set of MAC addresses on your computer.Auto-Create also makes up random Hardware IDs, incase the Ethernet hardware addresses are not uniqueto the communication server.FirmwareVersionShows the build number of MVC 2050 installed onyour device. This value is the version number of theapplication last reported by the server.
