Verify that oil level is half way up the sight glass (or at theindicator line on the dip stick).2. If oil level is low, fill using the type of oil specified below:(See "Specifications" section of this manual to determine the type of pumpthat came equipped with this pressure washer.)a. For Comet or NorthStar pumps: Use Universal TractorTransmission Oil, or SAE 30 non-detergent oil.3. Replace fill cap.Check/addengine oilCheck the engine oil level and add oil as needed.Use the recommended oil type for your engine and expected ambient conditions.(See engine Owner's Manual for oil type and capacity, and more detailed oilcheck/fill instructions.)WARNING: Burn hazardNever open oil port while engine is running. Hot oil can spray over faceand body.˙Notes:o Low oil pressure shutdown feature prevents the engine from starting orrunning without sufficient oil.o Engine is shipped without oil. You must add oil before first use.Inspect spraysystemAlways inspect spray system for damage and leaks before each use.Do not start pressure washer until all needed repairs have been completed.WARNING: High pressure fluid injection hazardHigh-pressure fluid discharge from leaks (even pin-sized) or rupturedcomponents can pierce skin and inject fluid into the body. Injectioninjury can result in blood poisoning and/or severe tissue damage leadingto infection, gangrene, and possibly amputation. Never use a finger or skin to check for leaks. Never operate machine with damaged or missing hoses/parts.
