Adventurer Pro EN-193.7 Balance SettingsRefer to section 3.4.2 Navigation for information on how to enter and navigate the menus.3.7.1 CalibrationAdventurer Pro balances can be calibrated in two ways: Span calibration or Linearity calibration.Span calibration resets the balance's weighing range using two weight values: zero and aweight value between 25% and 100% of the balance's capacity. Linearity calibration minimizesdeviation between actual and displayed weights within the balance's weighing range. Threeweight values are used: zero, a weight value at or near the midpoint of the balance's weighingrange and a weight at or near the balance's specified capacity.Calibration MassesBefore beginning calibration, make sure masses are available. Masses required for calibrationare listed in the table.Model Linearity Cal Points Span Calibration Points (1)AV53 25g / 50g 30g, 40g, 50gAV212 100g / 200g 50g, 100g, 150g, 200gAV412 200g / 400g 100g, 200g, 300g, 400gAV812 400g / 800g 200g, 300g, 400g, 500g, 600g, 700g, 800gAV2101 1000g / 2000g 500g, 1000g, 1500g, 2000gAV4101 2000g / 4000g 1000g, 2000g, 3000g, 4000gAV8101 4000g / 8000g 2000g, 3000g, 4000g, 5000g, 6000g, 7000g, 8000gNote 1: The default Span Cal Point is shown in Bold print.4 Adventurer Pro Text pages 15 to 40.P65 4/10/2003, 6:00 AM19
