CHAPTER 4 TESTING4.1 TESTINGBefore and after servicing a Valor 3000 scale, an operational test and various performance testsshould be made to confirm that the scale meets specifications. Turn the scale on and allow it towarm up for at least one hour before performing these tests.NOTE:Make sure the test area is free from drafts and that the scale rests on a level andvibration-free surface.4.1.1 TEST MASSES REQUIREDThe masses required to test the Ohaus Valor 3000 scales must meet the requirements of ASTMClass 4 or OIML F2 Tolerance. Connect a functioning Power Adapter to the scale power receptacle located on thebottom of the scale, or install 4 “C” (LR 14) batteries.2. Plug the Power Cord into a suitable power source.4.3 Segment Display TestTurn the scale on, and ensure that all segments are enabled and displayed briefly. Thisis a Segment Display Test.
