4If you are connecting the printer to your computer with aparallel or serial cable, connect the other end of the printercable to the connector on your computer.If you are connecting the printer to a network, connect theother end of the printer cable to an appropriate hub.Turn the main switch to the printer back ON ( | ).2-1 Connecting the printer cableCAUTION: ALWAYS turn the main switch to the printer OFF (O)BEFORE connecting the printer cable.Turn the main switch located on the left side of the printerOFF (O). If you are connecting the printer to your computerwith a parallel or serial cable, turn the power off to yourcomputer as well.Connect the printer cable to the interface connector locatedat the back of the right side of the printer.The following types of interface come standard with theprinter.
