4 About the Network Scanner Features4-10 VarioPrint 11054.5 Send to the SMB serverYou can send the data read in from the copier's ADF or the original scanningglass (scanned data) to the SMB server.The scanned data sent to the SMB server can be file-shared with computerswith the SMB protocol.For detailed information on how to operate the function, refer to “Transmis-sion to the SMB server” on page 6-24.Items to be configuredIn order to send the scanned data to the SMB server, the following itemsneed to be configured.-Host AddressYou specify an SMB server name or an IP Address of the SMB server.-File PathYou specify a directory in the SMB server.-Login NameYou specify a Login Name for the SMB server.-PasswordYou specify a corresponding Password to each Login Name for the SMBserver.You can register a Host Address, File Path, Login Name and Password inadvance. For information on how to register them, refer to “Registeringthe SMB server” on page 5-14.2 ReminderDepending on a network condition, transmission to the SMB server maydamage the scanned data.
