Operating during toner low stateWhen the stirring bar reaches thelmaximum height, since there is noresistance provided by the toner onthe other side, it falls to theminimum height due to its ownweight. Because of this, the timeinterval during which it is inencounter with the magnet of thesensorlever becomes long. By monitoringthis time interval, toner low can bedetected. When the toner low state is detected 2 times consecutively, Toner Low is established.lWhen the toner full state is detected 2 times consecutively, Toner Low is canceled.lWhen there is no change with the toner sensor for 2 cycles (2.727 sec. x 2) or more, then thelToner Sensor Alarm is activated. The toner sensor is not monitored while the drum motor is in halt.lCopyright 1998, Okidata, Division of OKI America, Inc.
