C3400n Userís Guide31Color tab1. Color Matching: Auto or ManualControl over the color output of your printer may beperformed automatically, or for advanced control, bymanual adjustment. The automatic setting will beappropriate in most cases. The other options in thiswindow only become visible when you select a choiceother than Auto. For grayscale printing, the printer runsat the fastest print speed (approx. 20ppm) and all pagesare printed in black and white.2. Color ModeYou can choose from a range of color matching options,depending on the image source for your document. Forexample, a photograph taken on a digital camera mightrequire different color matching from a business graphiccreated in a spreadsheet application. Again, for mostgeneral purpose use, Auto is the best choice.3. Brightness and SaturationPrinted output may be made lighter or darker, or thecolors made more saturated and vibrant as required.4. Black FinishBlack areas may be printed using 100% cyan, magentaand yellow, giving a more glossy appearance (compositeblack), or using only black toner (true black), giving amore matte appearance. Choosing the Auto setting allowsthe driver to make the most appropriate choice based onimage content.5. DefaultClick the Default button to restore the default printersettings.
