1914 Network Install: Macintosh ®□ Place the CD supplied with the printer in theCD-ROM drive, then double-click the OKI CD iconthat appears on the desktop.□ Open the MAC folder, then the PSDrv Æ English ÆMac Installer folders.□ Double-click the Mac Installer icon, then clickContinue.□ Select Custom install from the drop-down box.□ Select the printer model you have.□ If you wish to install the Swatch Utility (see page 11for more information) and/or the Fonts Downloaderutility, select them, then click Install.□ When the installation is complete, click Quit.Network: Install the OkiNetSoftware Utilities□ Place the CD supplied with the printer in theCD-ROM drive, then double-click the CD icon thatappears.□ Double-click OkiNet Utility for EtherTalk.□ In the EtherTalk® Zone Selection dialog box, clickSearch.The software will discover the OkiLAN 6200e printserver.□ Click Quit, and close the OkiNet Utilities dialog box.Network: Create the PPD□ Activate Chooser from the Apple menu, then selectthe LaserWriter® icon and highlight the OKI printermodel you have.□ Click Create, then click Select PPD.□ Highlight the PPD for the printer model you haveinstalled, then click Select.□ Close Chooser.! Requires Mac ® OS 7.x or above, running on aMacintosh computer with EtherTalk interface.The Ethernet cable is not supplied with the printer.Use an Ethernet crossover cable with RJ45connectors at either end.□ Turn the printer off.□ Connect your Ethernet cable to the network port onthe print server (1).□ Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to thenetwork port (2).□ Turn the printer on and wait for the print server statuslight to stop blinking.!
