2: EnglishLimited Warranty: U.S. & CanadaOki Data Americas, Inc. (Oki Data) warrants this OkiES1624nMFP Product (hereinafter "the Product") to be freefrom defects in material and workmanship and will remedy anysuch defect according to, the terms of this Limited Warranty.Oki Data will repair or at its option, replace, with the same orits functional equivalent, at no charge, any defectivecomponent(s) of the Product for one (1) year from the date ofpurchase except for the printhead (LED imaging array), whichis warranted for a period of five (5) years from the date ofpurchase. This Limited Warranty only extends to the originalpurchaser of the warranted item. This Limited Warranty is nottransferable. This Limited Warranty does not extend toconsumable items or supplies, such as ribbon cartridges,fuses, etc.Overnight ExchangeOki Data offers Overnight Exchange of the Product underthis Limited Warranty. Overnight Exchange is only availablein the United States and Canada and it does not include thereplacement or repair of the Product's consumable items orsupplies.If you choose to use our Overnight Exchange service, call1-800-OKI-DATA (1-800-654-3282): our trained personnelwill try to solve your problem over the phone. If theydetermine that your Product hardware is defective, anexchange product will be shipped to you via overnightcarrier. Have your credit card available as ourrepresentative will be asking for this information. You willreceive the exchange product the next business dayóor nolater than the second business day.Return the original product to Oki Data by using the samepackaging materials you received with the exchangeproduct. The Product to be returned must be made availablefor pickup by Oki Data's representative within two (2)business days of your receipt of the exchange product:failure to do so may result in your being charged the fullprice of the exchange unit. Before you ship the product,remove the image drums and toner cartridges to preventdamage to the product during shipment: failure to do somay result in your credit card being charged for cleaningand/or repairs to the Product.When Overnight Exchange is used, the returned machinebecomes the property of Oki Data, once it has been pickedup by Oki Data or its representative. Exchange machinesmay be new or reconditioned, at the option of Oki Data: theexchange machine becomes the property of the customerwhen the returned machine has been picked up by OkiData's designated carrier. The exchange product will bewarranted under the same Limited Warranty of the originalproduct, for thirty (30) days after receipt or the remainingwarranty period of the returned product, whichever islongerOvernight Exchange of the above warranted product for aprinthead failure or defect is limited to 90 days fromdate of purchase. For the remaining printhead warrantyperiod, replacement will be on a parts only basis at anauthorized service center or authorized third partyservice organization. Call 1-800-OKI-DATA for authorizedservice locations or if you would like to take advantage ofour Depot Repair option.To make a request or claim for service under this LimitedWarranty contact your local Oki Data authorized service centeror Oki Data at 1-800-OKI-DATA (1-800-654-3282).A written receipt for the Product, showing the date ofpurchase, dealer's name, and both the model and serialnumbers of this product must accompany any request or claimfor work to be performed under this Limited Warranty.This Limited Warranty shall not apply to normal wear and tearand shall not apply if the Product has been damaged due toabuse, misuse, misapplication, accident, improper storage, orinstallation, an unsuitable physical operating environment, oras a result of service or modification by any other than anauthorized Oki Data service center.THERE ARE NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES OTHER THANTHOSE ON THE FACE HEREOF AND DESCRIBED ABOVE.NO WARRANTIES WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIEDWARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR APARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL EXTEND BEYOND THERESPECTIVE WARRANTY PERIODS DESCRIBED ABOVE.Some states do not allow limitations on how long an impliedwarranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.IN NO EVENT SHALL OKI DATA OR ITS AFFILIATES BELIABLE TO A PURCHASER OR ANY OTHER PERSON FORSPECIAL, COLLATERAL, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL ORCONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES INCLUDING LOST PROFITS,BUSINESS REVENUE, GOODWILL OR ANTICIPATEDSAVINGS IN CONNECTION WITH OR ARISING OUT OFTHE PURCHASE OR USE OF THE OKI DATA PRODUCT,WHETHER ARISING IN CONTRACT OR IN TORT,WHETHER OR NOT CUSTOMER SHALL HAVE INFORMEDOKI DATA OF THE POSSIBILITY OR LIKELIHOOD OF ANYSUCH DAMAGES.Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation ofincidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusionmay not apply to you.ADDITIONAL WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS FOR ALLPURCHASERS EXCEPT CONSUMERS:WHEN ANY OKI DATA PRODUCT SHALL BEPURCHASED BY ANY PERSON SUCH THAT THE OKIDATA PRODUCT IS NOT A "CONSUMER GOOD" (ASDEFINED IN THE UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODEADOPTED IN THE STATE OF PURCHASE OR IN OTHERAPPLICABLE LAW), OKI DATA EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMSALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUTLIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OFMERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULARPURPOSE.Additional information on obtaining service under this LimitedWarranty in the U.S. and Canada is available by contacting theOki Data dealer from whom the product was purchased, bycontacting Oki Data directly at 1-800-OKI-DATA, or bycontacting one of the service locations listed below.
