It containsinformation technology that accurately processes date andtime data between the years 1999 and 2000, and carriesno issue for the September 9, 1999 (9999) programmingconcern. In order to comply withthese FCC rules, the following instructions must becarefully read and applicable portions followed completely.1. This equipment complies with Part 68 of FCC rules andthe requirements adopted by the ACTA. On the back ofthe equipment is a label that contains, among otherinformation, a product identifier in the formatUS:AAAEQ##TXXXX. If requested, this inf2. A plug and jack used to connect this equipment to thepremises wiring and telephone network must complywith the applicable FCC Part 68 rules and requirementsadopted by the ACTA. A compliant telephone cord andmodular plug is provided with this product. It isdesigned to be connected to a compatible modular jackthat is also compliant. See installation instructions fordetails.4. The REN is used to determine the quantity of deviceswhich may be connected to the telephone line.Excessive RENs on the telephone line may result in thedevices not ringing in response to an incoming call. Inmost, but not all areas, the sum of the RENs should notexceed five (5.0). To be certain of the number ofdevices that may be connected to the line, asdetermined by the total RENs, contact the localtelephone company. For products approved after July23, 2001, the REN for this product is part of the productidentifier that has the format US:AAAEQ##TXXXX. Thedigits represented by ## are the REN without a decimalpoint (e.g., 03 is a REN of 0.3). For earlier products, theREN is separately shown on the label.5. If the equipment, MB780/MB790, causes harm to thetelephone network, the telephone company will notifyyou in advance that temporary discontinuance ofservice may be required. But if advance notice isn’tpractical, the telephone company will notify thecustomer as soon as possible. Also, you will be advisedof your right to file a complaint with the FCC if youbelieve it is necessary.6. The telephone company may make changes in itsfacilities, equipment, operations, or procedures thatcould affect the operation of the equipment. If thishappens, the telephone company will provide advancenotice in order for you to make the necessarymodifications to maintain uninterrupted service.7.
