2. OPERATIONPrinting with the Cut-Sheet FeederAfter the first sheet is inserted and the Top of Form is set, you can beginprinting with the CSF. Simply request a printout from your word process-ing package as you would normally. When it receives the command toprint, the printer will start printing on the inserted sheet, eject the printedpage into the stacker; and insert a new page. When files are several pageslong, the printer will eject each printed page into the stacker, insert a newsheet from the CSF loading tray, then continue printing. If you are writing your own program for the Cut-Sheet Feeder, you mustinclude the CSF insert and eject commands. When the printer receives thecommand to print, it will insert a sheet of paper and start printing. Eachtime it receives the CSF insert command, it ejects the printed sheet, theninsert a new sheet. Use the CSF eject command at the end of your ownprogram if you want the printer to eject the printed sheet without insert-ing a new sheet. If you want to eject a sheet of paper manually, simply press the FF/LOADbutton.For a chart commands, see Appendix A.NOTE: Ensure that the printer's page length is not less than that in your word processingprogram. The effect of the LINE FEED command depends on the status of the CSF asfollows:- If there is no paper in the CSF, a sheet will be fed in after a LINE FEEDcommand and the subsequent characters appear on the first print lineat the top of the sheet.- If there is a paper in the CSF, the LINE FEED command cause a line feed.- If the printhead is on the last print line of the sheet, the sheet will beejected after a LINE FEED and a new sheet fed in. The first printableline of the new sheet is then the actual printing position.
