943 Setting UpSetting file namesFor the pictures stored on the card, file names and folder names areautomatically recorded by the camera. File and folder names areassigned as shown below, using a file number (0001-9999) and foldernumber (100-999), respectively.This function can be set to [RESET] or [AUTO] to determine how toassign file and folder numbers. Select the more convenient setting totransfer pictures to a computer.If the file number exceeds “9999,” a new folder will be created and filenumbering will begin again from “0001.”If the file number reaches “9999” in a folder numbered “999,” no furtherpictures can be taken, even if the card is not yet full. Replace the card withnew one.RESETThis resets the file and folder numbers each time a card is insertedinto the camera. The file number returns to “0001” and the foldernumber returns to “100.” This is useful for managing pictures ondifferent cards.AUTOThe file and folder numbers are assigned sequentially from theprevious card.
