Chargingtime varies depending on the performanceof a computer or printer. (There may becases in which it takes approx. 10 hours.)If you do not select [EXIT], the battery doesnot charge.If the camera without a battery is connectedto a computer, by inserting a battery intothe camera, the camera will start chargingwithout showing the [USB] screen above.Using a separately sold ACadapterAn AC adapter (D-7AC/separately sold) isuseful for time-consuming tasks such as imagedownloads to a computer or when running aslideshow for a long period of time. To use aseparately sold AC adapter for this camera, themulti-adapter (CB-MA1, CB-MA3/separatelysold) is required. The battery can also becharged by connecting the camera with its powerturned off to the AC adapter.Do not use any other AC adapter with thiscamera.Using a separately soldchargerA charger (LI-50C/separately sold) can be usedto charge the battery. In this case, remove thebattery from the camera and set the battery tothe charger.Using your charger and ACadapter abroadThe charger and AC adapter can be used inmost home electrical sources within the rangeof 100 V to 240 V AC (50/60Hz) around theworld. However, depending on the countryor area you are in, the AC wall outlet may beshaped differently and the charger and ACadapter may require a plug adapter to matchthe wall outlet. For details, ask at your localelectrical shop or travel agent.Do not use travel voltage converters as theycould damage your charger and AC adapter.Using an xD-Picture CardA card (and internal memory) also correspondsto the film that records images in a film camera.Otherwise, the recorded images (data) can beerased, and retouching is also available withthe use of a computer. Cards can be removedfrom the camera and exchanged, but this isnot possible with the internal memory.
