8OperationMaintenanceFig. 5: Properoperationposition.• Cleaning the machine should be performed at least once a day and, if necessary more often.• Never clean the machine by means of water jets.• The cleaning of the grill can be performed when it is hot, scrape with a metallic brush on the cooking gridseveral times.ATTENTION: Do not to touch the cooking surface because this could cause burns.• Use the same care when emptying the collecting tray to make gravy.• It is recommended to perform these cleaning operations when the temperature has dropped but theresidual grease which sticks to the grill is still a liquid.• Do not pour water or other liquids on the grid when it is hot, because the rapid changes of temperature candamage the grills surface.WARNING: Before performing any cleaning operation, turn off and disconnect the plug from the electricalsocket.Periodically check whether the power cord is worn-out and, if this is the case, please call the Omcan Service
