¶ REGULAR INSPECTION AND DAILY MAINTENANCE24 Wipe off dirt on the mattress with a cloth dampened with warm water and then leave to dry in the shade withgood ventilation. If dirt does not come off, wipe with a cloth that has been soaked in neutral detergent dilutedwith water and wring it out thoroughly. Then, wipe off any residual detergent with a wet cloth that has beensqueezed well and let the mattress dry in a shady place with good ventilation. The surface material of the transfer mattress is washable. (See p. 18) The mattress should not be cleaned by an ozone sterilizer or autoclave apparatus. To clean the transfer mattress, take out the padding and wash the surface material only. To clean the stretcher, wipe with a cloth that has been soaked in neutral detergent diluted with water and wring it outthoroughly. Then, wipe off any residual detergent with a wet cloth that has been squeezed well. Lastly, wipe with a dry cloth.* Do not use volatile fluids for cleaning (such as paint thinner, benzene, or gasoline).Discoloration or deterioration may result. Stretcher unit Transfer mattress0.05 to 0.2% bensalkonium chloride (Osvan)0.05 to 0.2% benzethonium chloride (Hyamine)0.05% chlorhexidine (Hibitane) Components of the stretcher may quickly deteriorate or may be damaged under specificoperating environments and conditions. In case of any abnormal conditions, stop usingthe stretcher and contact your distributor or authorized representative for repair. The product cannot be washed by a bed washer. For safe use, inspect the stretcher regularly, at least once a year. The product exhibits wear anddeterioration depending on the frequency of use and the operating conditions. Regularly inspectfor loose parts, operation of moving parts, and damage. In case of an abnormal condition ornecessity of more detailed inspection, contact your distributor (See p. 26). In case of anabnormal noise during use, apply a lubricant (see the figure below). Keep the stretcher and mattress away from water and humidity because they may cause rust, breeding ofbacteria, and generation of abnormal noise.
