AVCHD Recording and Playback: Using an Optional AVCHD Board 163AVCHD Recording and PlaybackTo make a recording in AVCHD from a P2 card, perform therequired clip editing in playlist mode and play back the finalvideo to record it on an SD memory card.■ Preparing for dubbing1 Set recording and playback format.Perform the following settings in the listed setup menus.2 Set setup menu No.028 (AVCHD FMT)appropriately.Select AVCHD recording rate (PH, HA, HG or HE).◆ NOTE:• Selecting 720P will engage PH mode regardless of AVCHD FMTsetting.3 Insert an SD memory card in the slot.■ Starting dubbing to AVCHD1 Create material required for dubbing using playlist.2 Press the SHIFT + REC button.Playback from the current playlist location startssimultaneous with recording to the SD memory card.This type of recording records the time code in theplayback material.Recording stops when playback reaches the end or if theSD memory card becomes full and further recording is notpossible.3 Press STOP at the end.Recording and playback stop.◆ NOTE:• If input reference signal is not stable during dubbing, dubbedvideo will be distorted.Input stable reference signal, or perform dubbing withoutinputting reference signal (internal reference).• Recording from the beginning of the playlist playback cannot bemade.• The internal time code generator value will be updated to thedubbed time code.External signals are simultaneously recorded to a P2 card andan SD memory card.
