51Error messagesError No. Error message and description Error No. Error message and descriptionCondensationCondensation forms in the unit and on the tape following the same principle which is behind theformation of droplets of water (condensation) on the window panes of a heated room. Thisphenomenon occurs when the unit or tape is moved to a location with significantly differenttemperature and humidity levels. Condensation forms when:O The unit (or tape) is moved to a high-humidity place filled with steam or to a room immediatelyafter it has been heated up.O The unit (or tape) is suddenly moved from a cool place to a place with high temperature andhumidity levels. When the unit (or tape) has been moved to such a place, do not turn on the power immediatelybut leave the unit (or tape) standing for about 10 minutes. When condensation has formed in theunit, the “– – d – –” error message lights on the counter display, and the cassette tape isautomatically ejected.Keep the power on, and wait until the error message is cleared.E – 04UNKNOWN SIGThis appears when the format of the signalssupplied to the digital video interface is neitherDVCPRO nor DV.It also appears when two AJ-HD1200A units areused as the input and output units and differentsettings are selected for the menu item No.25[SYSTEM FREQ] of the two units.Operation performed by AJ-HD1200AOperation is continued (21).E – 14NO MATCH SIGThis appears when the signals supplied to the digitalvideo interface are at variance from the systemformat which is set by the AJ-HD1200A.Operation performed by AJ-HD1200AOperation is continued (21).E – 16INVALID VIDEO SIGThis appears when the video signals supplied to thedigital video interface are not the correct ones.Operation performed by AJ-HD1200AOperation is continued (21).E – 17INVALID AUDIO SIGThis appears when the audio signals supplied to thedigital video interface are not the correct ones.Operation performed by AJ-HD1200AOperation is continued (22).E – 18INVALID TC SIGThis appears when the time code signals supplied tothe digital video interface are not the correct ones.Operation performed by AJ-HD1200AOperation is continued (23).E – 90NOT 1X 100M SIGThis appears when the signals supplied to the digitalvideo interface do not have the 1k transfer speed ofthe DVCPRO HD (100 Mbps) format.Operation performed by AJ-HD1200AOperation is continued (21).E – 921394 INITIAL ERRORThis appears when the initialization process failsduring communication via the digital video interface.Operation performed by AJ-HD1200AOperation is continued (24).Error messages which may appear when the AJ-YAD120AG board is installed21: This error message always appears in the E-E mode.In such a case, black signals are recorded as the video signals, and the audio signals are muted.22: This error message always appears in the E-E mode.In such a case, the audio signals are muted.23: This error message always appears in the E-E mode.In such a case, the time code of the time code generator inside the AJ-HD1200A is recorded as the time code signal.24: This error message always appears in the E-E mode.In such a case, no signals can be output using the digital video interface.
